Around 1,500 fans had to evacuate Tannadice because of a fire alarm during a Scottish Youth Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.
A fire alarm sounded not long after the half-time whistle blew in the game between Dundee United and Queen of the South.
Around 1,500 fans in the Jerry Kerr Stand were evacuated.
One of those caught up in the drama was Mike Barile, a board member of the fans group, the ArabTRUST.
He said: ”It was really minor but because of procedures the entire stadium had to be evacuated. It was not just the fans but also the players and officials who were out on Tannadice Street.”
The game was postponed for around an hour as fire officers searched the stadium.
When fans were eventually allowed back inside they were moved to the George Fox Stand which, it is understood, has a separate fire alarm system.
The game ended in a 5-4 victory for Queen of the South after extra time.
