Brechin City’s cup tie with new Rangers put back 24 hours for TV coverage

Brechin City’s money-spinning Ramsdens Cup tie against Rangers has been put back 24 hours.
The fixture is now set to take place at Glebe Park on Sunday July 29, with a 3.05pm kick-off, after being rescheduled to accommodate a live TV broadcast by BBC Alba.
Following a meeting between the club’s ground officer and the police, the capacity of the ground has also been increased to 4,200.
Home tickets will go on sale at Glebe Park from Monday evening and away tickets can be purchased at Ibrox from Monday morning, with briefs costing £16 for adults and £8 for concessions.
However, there is still some uncertainty as to whether or not the game will go ahead as Charles Green’s newco await a licence to play.
If the Glasgow club fail to agree conditions attached to SFA membership, it is understood Brechin will be given a bye into the next round although that scenario would leave City thousands of pounds out of pocket.
