Police are continuing inquiries into the sexual assault of a 36-year-old woman in a secluded Lochee street.
Pfficers were called to Eastwell Road at 7.50pm on Tuesday after the woman raised the alarm with local residents.
Several police vehicles arrived on the scene and an area of bushes in the corner of the street was cordoned off.
Andy Orchardson, who lives in Eastwell Road, said his wife spoke to the woman and phoned the police.
”I got a phone call from my wife at about 7.30pm and she said that our neighbour had asked her to come round because there was a woman at her door saying she had been sexually assaulted,” he said.
”She didn’t even know where she was. She thought she was on Victoria Road.”
A police presence remained in place on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the force said: ”Tayside Police is making inquiries into a sexual assault on a 36-year-old woman that happened in Eastwell Road, Dundee on Tuesday evening.
”Anyone who has information that could assist police with their inquiries is asked to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.”
