Crackdown dramatic conclusion to Courier’s drugs investigation

Police have carried out a series of raids following The Courier’s expose of drugs being sold openly in Scotland.
Officers wearing protective clothing, and armed with battering rams, stormed five addresses in Dundee.
Properties in Menzieshill, Stobswell, the Hilltown, Lochee, and St Marys were raided.
One of the properties was a Menzieshill flat identified by The Courier as being a location where drug dealing openly took place in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
Over the past three days The Courier has carried out an extensive investigation into the drugs scene in Scotland. In today’s paper, former government drugs advisor Professor David Nutt talks about his controversial Channel 4 programme which showed volunteers taking ecstasy.
