An Angus singer-songwriter has organised a charity gig to raise money for a young boy after being touched by his story.
Charlotte Brimner (16), from Kellas, has brought together a wealth of talent to play at A Gig for Lennon in aid of two-year-old Lennon Thomson, who was born 13 weeks premature with a severe developmental condition called spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy.
Funds raised from the night will go towards providing Lennon with a sensory and soft play room, additional advanced equipment to help him and intense physiotherapy.
Charlotte, who plays, writes and sings her own songs with a selection of covers on acoustic guitar, is looking forward to the gig.
She told The Courier: ”I found the Lennon’s fund page on Facebook and had a look at some of the hings they had been doing.
”I thought it would be a good idea to do my own to try and help.”
The gig will be held at the Wellbank Hall on October 12, with doors open at 6.30pm and tickets £5.
Charlotte has put together a line-up of artists, including multi-instrumentalist and singer Chris Marr (Esperi), Gleadhraich and Unknown on Sunday to complement her own individual style of music.
