People are being invited to scare themselves senseless and raise funds for a children’s charity.
NSPCC Scotland is inviting the brave to spend an evening investigating ghosts at Castle Menzies on a special “Fright Night”.
The event on February 26 will raise cash for ChildLine. Participants will have the chance to hunt for the 20 or so ghosts reported to live in the castle, in a variety of experiments.
They will also be allowed lone vigils with a night vision camera and to access areas not open to the public.
Victorian-style seances will round off the evening and everyone will be encouraged to take photos of orbs, mists and other anomalies.
Castle Menzies’ reported phenomena include a man shouting, children laughing, whistling, footsteps and a young boy seen running up and down stairs.
Fright Night takes place between 10pm to 2am. Entry is £30 per person or £75 for a team of three, with a suggested minimum sponsorship of £100 per person. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.Email scotlandevents@nspcc.org.uk, call 0844 892 0212 or visit www.nspcc.org.uk
