A decision to earn some extra money by helping her mother at a modelling show has led to a Perthshire teenager becoming the only Scottish contestant in a UK-wide contest.
As she manned the jewellery stand at the live screening of Britain’s Next Top Model in London at the end of last year, 18-year-old Lottie Murray was approached by a talent scout for the UK Teen Queen Competition.
However, the modest Burrelton lass kept this from her mum, Pam, as she had already seen a number of other girls being spotted.
Pam told us, “So many girls had already been scouted that she had not even told me about it, until I asked her what the fluorescent stickers were that they were all wearing.
“Then, in November I had a phone call to say that she had been selected for the next round, which was a photographic session in London.”
