Dundee United have suspended the associate directorship of supporters’ group ArabTRUST from the board.
The development does not mark a fall-out between the fans and those running the Tangerines rather it is a move against the ArabTRUST representative Mike Barile.
It is understood the club asked Mr Barile to step down as associate director but he declined, leaving them to take this action.
The suspension is likely to be lifted if or when another person is appointed by the trust to represent them in the Tannadice boardroom.
In a separate development, fans can expect another associate director to join United in the coming weeks.
