Highly rated young Dundee United goalkeeper Marc McCallum has committed himself to the club for the next three years.
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best prospects for his age in Scotland and has agreed a contract extension through to May 2014.
The Tannadice club’s boss Peter Houston said, “Marc is a tremendous prospect, someone we have high hopes for.
“I’m delighted for him as he is not only a very promising goalkeeper but he has also shown me that he has the right attitude to make a successful career for himself here at Dundee United.
“I genuinely believe Marc will be a fantastic asset for the club in the coming years and I’m thrilled he has been rewarded for his progress so far.
“This should show the fans that we are committed to bringing through our own youth academy talent here and building for the future from within.”
McCallum joined United as an under-12 and progressed through the youth development programme before signing full-time in June 2009.
He has been capped for Scotland four times at under-17 level and on eight occasions for the under-19s.
