A group of friends stormed the Tayside countryside yesterday in an 18-ton armoured personnel carrier.
The six ladies from Dundee and Angus spent a fun afternoon driving around a specialist off-road course made up of rough terrain and deep crevasses at Tank Driving Scotland in Auchterhouse.
With absolutely no tank driving experience between them, the enthusiastic group received expert guidance on how to control the machine’s monster power generated by a massive Rolls Royce engine.
The trip was something the daredevils had been looking forward to since October, when they won the outing during a two-day auction in aid of cancer charity Maggie’s Dundee.
The event, where the ladies secured the day out with a winning bid of £225, managed to raise £28,000.
