Commuters in Dundee experienced rush-hour misery on Thursday evening after a four-car crash on one of the city’s busiest routes brought traffic to a standstill.
The cars colided on the Strathmartine Road sliproad leading on to the Kingsway at around 4.30pm, causing tailbacks to West Gourdie industrial estate.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene, with two female casualties being transported to Ninewells Hospital for checks. It is believed there were only minor injuries.
At its peak, eastbound traffic tailed back for over a mile from the sliproad. After an operation to clear the road of debris, traffic began to flow freely at around 6pm.
