A Courier reporter has been shortlisted for a prize that highlights accurate and influential reporting about asylum and refugee-related issues.
David Clegg, who is from Northern Ireland and has worked for the paper since 2007, has won a nomination in the local print section of the Refugee Week Scotland Media Awards, organised by Oxfam.
His story, published in the paper in December, told of an asylum seeker living in Dundee who received an award after rescuing a man from the River Tay.
The competition coincides with Refugee Week Scotland, from June 14-18. Winners will be announced at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow on June 18.
