The helicopter from Rescue 177, based at HMS Gannett at Prestwick Airport, was called after the walker collapsed in the Angus hills. Air ambulance units were unable to reach the casualty, who had to be winched aboard the rescue helicopter. The red and grey helicopter was seen over Dundee as it took the casualty to Ninewells Hospital. The walker’s condition is not yet known.
