Volkswagen’s sleek saloon-in-disguise, the Passat CC, has been given a mid-life makeover.
The most obvious change is the ditching of the central rear console to make the sleek coupe-style saloon a proper five-seater.
Satellite navigation now comes as standard throughout the range, along with a touchscreen Bluetooth device.
The GT model gets this plus leather interior, parking sensors front and rear, cruise control, 18″ alloy wheels (as opposed to the standard version’s 17″) electronic damping and tinted glass in the rear.
VW say the equipment on the entry-level car amounts to £1000, yet prices rise by just £515.
The GT has £3000 of extra kit for a £1000 rise in price.
The new model is available to order now.
Prices start at £22,645 for the 1.8 litre TSI model, rising to £26,600 for the top 2.0 litre TDI 170PS version with six-speed automatic DSG transmission.
