A 43-year-old man died after being involved in an accident with a car on Christmas Eve on a road in Fife.
The tragedy happened at 6.45pm on the A921 eastbound between Burntisland and Kinghorn.
The name of the man has not been released, but police said it appeared only one vehicle was involved.
It is the second such incident to occur in Fife in recent weeks, after a Crombie man died after colliding with a car between Crombie and Cairneyhill on December 11.
A police spokesman said, “Fife Constabulary urge all road users and pedestrians to take extra care, and to be aware of the road conditions at this time of the year.
“Advice from the police to pedestrians is to walk in the face of oncoming traffic so they can see, and be seen.”
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or just before should contact police on 0845 600 5702.
