Police have confirmed that the death of a computer salesman from west Fife is not suspicious.
Gavin Fern’s body was found in Blairhall on Saturday, February 12, after he was last seen in Glasgow on November 20.
The 30-year-old, who was originally from Dunfermline, was the subject of an internet campaign that saw Sarah Brown, Lorraine Kelly and Chris Evans add their support.
The former St Columba’s High School pupil was a computer salesman for Hewlett Packard and had been due to attend a training course in London two days after being seen at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow.
However, he never turned up.
A Help Find Gavin campaign then took shape on the social network site Facebook.
Yesterday, a police spokesman said, “There are no suspicious circumstances being investigated as a result of the discovery of Gavin Fern.”
