A former Angus college student is planning the trip of a lifetime to work with some of the world’s poorest communities in Africa.
Jenna Swankie (20), from Arbroath, recently completed an HNC in Childcare and Early Education and is now planning the trip to Kenya later this year.
A qualified Zumba instructor, she will be raising funds in various ways, including a sponsored dance event at the Angus College family fun fair in May. The trip is being organised through volunteer organisation Africa Adventure, which specialises in helping young people visit the developing world.
Jenna said, “I’m really looking forward to this experience. I hope my time there will help benefit the communities in some way and I am confident that the experience will teach me valuable life skills. Any donations towards the trip are greatly appreciated.”
