Cycling star Mark Beaumont swapped the saddle for a racketball court to take on his namesake as part of a charity initiative.
He was at Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth on Wednesday to lend his support to the Great Big Racketball Challenge for Mary’s Meals. He met Scottish squash and racketball coach Mark Beaumont for a clash of the sporting titans.
Titled Mark’s Match, the event aimed to motivate people to create their own scheme to raise as much money as they can for Mary’s Meals one of Scotland’s leading charities, which feeds over 500,000 children in 16 countries.
The event was organised by Scottish Squash and Racketball Ltd (SSRL) as part of its push for the organisation.
Cyclist Mark said, “Encouraging people to raise money for Mary’s Meals whilst playing racketball is fantastic.”
