Work on Diageo’s new bottling plant in Fife has taken a major step forward with the completion of the building’s massive steel frame.
The drinks giant’s Leven site will become one of the world’s largest spirits packaging plants once the new bottling hall opens.
Around 1550 tonnes of steel has been used to create the building, which covers an area the size of two and a half football pitches.
To mark the completion of the steelwork, Diageo this week released this stunning bird’s eye view of the site, capturing the sheer scale of the structure.
The bottling hall is part of an £86 million investment by Diageo at its Leven site, which will create over 400 jobs.
Work began in October and it is hoped the building will be finished in the summer. The entire project is due for completion next year.
