A student art festival which brought art, comedy, music, film and theatre to St Andrews has played its closing note.
Seen on the bandstand at St Andrews is Amy Rayner, one of the finale performers at On The Rocks, the student festival covering art, comedy, music, film and theatre.
The open-air concert at the bandstand, followed by a ceilidh and party, brought the curtain down on the third On the Rocks festival.
It showcases new Scottish and student talent, with performers coming from all over the country, and enjoys high-profile backing from stars such as Sir Sean Connery, Dame Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley.
Among the highlights of the 2011 festival was the Half Cut Film Festival, which was judged by Hollywood animators from Pixar and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Robert Sproul-Cran.
