Women ordered to attend mentoring over Old Hawkhill assault
ByNews reporter
Two women were ordered to attend a special mentoring service and be of good behaviour when they appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Stephanie Orr (25), of Pitreuchie Place, Forfar, and Elaine Blythe (41), of Brook Court, appeared for sentencing after earlier admitting assaulting a man in Old Hawkhill, on April 25, by repeatedly punching and slapping him on the head.
Blythe also admitted kicking the man repeatedly on the body to his injury and assaulting a police constable by kicking him.
The agent for Orr, John Boyle, said she accepted full responsibility and she should have acted differently.
Sheriff George Way said he felt both women would be helped by having someone to talk to and ordered them to attend mentoring and be of good behaviour for six months.
Both will appear again, with updated reports, on April 10.
