A knifeman who was named on Facebook after stabbing his victim had been released on bail six times in six weeks, a court has heard.
John Etchells walked free from court on April 23 – 48 hours before he attacked Darren Jamieson at a flat in Dundee.
Mr Jamieson went on Facebook after dialling 999 and posted: “Just got stab, gushing of blood.”
When a friend asked who had attacked him the 21-year-old replied: “John Etchalls” (sic).
Etchells was allowed to walk free from court before the incident despite ten previous convictions in just over two years for breaching bail.
The 19-year-old pleaded to assaulting Mr Jamieson to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement by stabbing him with a knife at a flat in Lulworth Court.
He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced after background reports.
