A convicted child sex offender who tattooed under-age girls before sexually assaulting them in his Dundee flat has been jailed for five years at the High Court in Aberdeen.
Paul McLellan, 44, had previously been convicted by a jury at Dundee Sheriff Court of a total of 22 charges 12 of illegally giving tattoos to girls under the age of 18 and 10 sexual offences.
Sheriff George Way had remitted McLellan to the High Court for sentence after the jury’s decision in November, telling him that it was “perfectly clear” that he was “grooming some of these girls with a view to further sexual activity”.
Judge Lord Uist today put the sex offender on a lifelong restriction and jailed him for five years.
It is the third time that the sexual predator has been jailed for sexual offences.
