Forfar midfielder Stephen Husband has slammed the Scottish FA after learning that he is suspended for Saturday’s opening League One fixture at Stranraer.
The 23-year-old breached the disciplinary threshold and incurred an automatic one-game ban when he collected his sixth booking on the final day of last season when Dunfermline lost to Cowdenbeath in the play-off final second leg.
The former Hearts and Blackpool playmaker has taken to Twitter to express his frustration at having to sit out this weekend’s trip to Stair Park.
He said: “Seriously the SFA need to sort their bookings system out! Banned from playing this week because I received a whopping six bookings in the whole of last season!
“What a terrible rule, surely it has to be wiped if not at Christmas period then at the end of the season.”
