A woman in distress on the Angus coast was helped to safety by a rescue team and lifeboat.
HM Coastguard were asked for help from the Scottish Ambulance Service after the woman hurt herself while on a rocky section in Ferryden, by Montrose on Saturday night.
A Coastguard spokesman said Montrose lifeboat station launched its inshore boat and sent a rescue team along the coast to provide aid.
“Ambulance control asked for Coastguard assistance to help get her off the rocks and get her into the ambulance,” he said.
The call came at 7.03pm and the woman was helped to the ambulance shortly after with a suspected dislocated ankle.
