They arrived on Thursday and have around 15 vehicles caravans and vehicles on the open ground next to Myrekirk Road. The land is owned by the city council and has no boundary fence or rock armour to prevent anyone parking there. It is not yet known if the council has taken any action to try to move the group on. It is understood the travellers came from Aberdeen and are heading to northern England. Another group of travellers from France who set up camp several days ago by a sports pavilion in Riverside Drive remain there today.
