Development brings fresh hope for Angus holiday girl Cally Simpson
ByRob McLaren
Doctors have found brain activity in critically-ill Angus girl Cally Simpson.
The Arbroath four-year-old, who has been in a coma since a pool accident in Spain almost a month ago, has returned to Scotland and is now being assessed by NHS medical staff.
The brainwaves were shown on an EEG and Cally will now have a MRI scan.
Parents Steven Simpson and Kate Miller hope to “know a little more shortly”.
A fun day in honour of Cally will be held at Seaton Estate in Arbroath from noon on Sunday.
