Crews rushed to the scene at the Old Manse on Meigle’s Dundee Road at around 3.26pm, following reports of a blaze in the kitchen. They used two hose reels to tackle the flames and during a search of the property, found two dogs within the house. Unfortunately, one died as a result of the incident, while the second pet escaped unharmed. No one else was injured during the fire, which was brought under control just before 4pm.
