Man’s death in Dundee flat investigated by police

Police in Dundee are investigating the death of a 33-year-old man in Fairbairn Street.

Officers were called to a flat in the street early on Wednesday morning.

It is believed they were alerted after the man’s body was found in the flat shortly after 7am.

A source told the Courier it was thought the man may have died of a drug overdose.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.

“As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
