A Fife super slimmer has been given national acclaim for her stunning weight loss.
Diane McMillan dropped almost 10 stone in weight to make it into the finals of Slimming World’s Woman of the Year competition 2014.
A combination of dieting and working out three times a week led the Fife slimmer to lose more than half her body weight.
She joined the Kinghorn Slimming World group, which meets every Monday, and went from 19 stone 4lb to nine stone 9lb.
Her transformation inspired members of the group to vote for her to win the overall title of Woman of the Year.
Diane said: “I’d tried losing weight before I’ve done pretty much every diet under the sun.
“I always found the plans that I followed too hard to stick to because they left me feeling hungry and deprived, which made me pretty fed up and miserable.
“The changes I’ve made to the way I cook and eat have been small ones but they’ve made a big difference to my weight.”
Diane says she could not have achieved her weight loss without the support of her Kinghorn group.
She said: “If I’ve ever been struggling, the group have been there to remind me how far I’ve come and not to give up, as well as giving me great ideas for getting back on track.”
Graham McCulloch, who runs the Kinghorn group, said: “She’s already such an inspiration to so many of us in the Kinghorn group and I hope she’ll inspire even more people now.”
Dianne met actor Will Mellor, star of Broadchurch, who helped the slimmers celebrate their successes at Slimming World’s head offices in Derbyshire.
