A woman was “utterly horrified” after a man knocked on her door and handed her a note asking her to perform sexual acts on him.
Darren Lee Shields, 29, of Yeamans Lane, Dundee, also asked the woman if he could do the same to her in the note before calmly walking away laughing.
Shields admitted that on July 29 at the home of the woman, and while on bail, he handed over a piece of paper with writing on it requesting that she carry out sexual acts upon him and allow him to carry out sexual acts upon her.
He further admitted that on June 6, at Balgay Hill, he possessed a knife.
Depute fiscal Charmaine Gilmartin told the court the accused had asked the woman to go for a drink about six months prior to the incident, and she had said no.
She said on July 29, the woman was in her home and heard a knock at her door and when she opened it the accused was there.
“He was standing holding a piece of paper in his hand,” Mrs Gilmartin said. “He handed it over to her, had a little giggle to himself and walked away.
“The woman read the letter and was utterly horrified by the comments.”
She called the police and they went to the accused’s home where he was traced, the court was told.
Sheriff Walter Mercer deferred sentence on Shields for reports until November 21 and granted him bail.
