Angus cancer research campaigners launched a sign-up campaign for the New Year’s Day Dook at the weekend.
The fifth such event to take place in Arbroath, organisers hope to invite “hardy souls” who want to bring in 2015 in an “exhilarating” way.
The number of participants to plunge into the North Sea has grown every year, and more than 160 brave “dookers” raised almost £3,900 for Cancer Research UK at the beginning of this year.
Alana Loudon, one of the organisers, said: “We are hoping to make this bigger and better in 2015, so please come along and dook with us on the first of January at one o’clock at the lifeboat station.
“Start 2015 in an exhilarating way and raise funds for Cancer Research UK.”
