A man has been found guilty of the murder of a Kelty toddler in her own home.
Kevin Park had denied murdering two-year-old Madison Horn in the Croftangry Road home she shared with her mother Ann Marie White on April 20 this year.
A jury at the High Court in Glasgow found Park, 27, guilty of pulling Madison’s hair, lifting her up and repeatedly striking her head against a wall. He also bit and repeatedly hit the toddler.
The court heard she had died from blunt force trauma to her head and abdomen. She had 65 separate injuries including a fractured skull, tears to her liver and bruising to her head and body.
The youngster died after being taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital with massive brain and internal injuries.
Park was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 22 years before he is eligible for parole.
