Dunfermline have been given a boost with the return of forward Ryan Wallace to training following a lengthy lay-off, although he is still some way away from first team action.
The 24-year-old has been restricted to just two appearances this season and has been missing since early August after suffering a stress fracture in his pelvis.
Wallace has now returned to training but manager Jim Jefferies has confirmed that he will not be ready to train with the first team squad for two or three weeks yet, and therefore hopes a return to action by Christmas or before the turn of the year is a realistic target.
Midfielder Josh Falkingham is recovering from having his tonsils removed and could be in line for a place on the substitutes bench at Stenhousemuir on Saturday, although a return in the Development League match next week may be more likely.
Lewis Martin will also be missing after being called up to the Scotland Under 19 squad.
Meanwhile, the Pars have confirmed that an incredible £180,000 has been raised through the club’s Centenary Club Lifeline scheme, which was launched just over a year ago.
The incentive initiative was set up soon after fans’ group Pars United took over at East End Park and an initial target was set of 500 members who would pay at least £20 a month.
However, that target was quickly surpassed and, with more than 1,000 people now signed up, organisers have set a new target of 1,250 members.
