The 2015 Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia has sold out in less than three days.
Thousands of riders have already secured their place at the start line of May’s cycling sportive event in Perthshire.
Although general entries have all been snapped up, prospective participants may still be able to secure a charity pledge place, if they sign up to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Last year the competition raised nearly £354,000 and organisers hope this year they can make more than £380,000.
The money will help nurses to care for people with terminal illnesses.
James Robinson, managing director of event organisers IMG Challenger World, said: “The Etape Caledonia is a unique occasion giving participants an exclusive experience and the opportunity to cycle 81 miles on completely closed roads.
“The event has grown in popularity year by year and we are looking forward to welcoming participants back to another great year.”
Around 5,000 cyclists are expected to take part.
A limited number of charity pledge places can be booked through the official website.
