A drug dealer caught in possession of heroin worth up to £490 has been jailed for 45 days.
Michael Graczyk, of Lyon Street, Dundee, pleaded guilty to being in possession of diamorphine on July 31 last year at Ward Road.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond heard that Graczyk was sentenced to 10 months in prison in September for being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Depute fiscal Nicola Gillespie said Graczyk was found with a foil wrap of heroin. Officers discovered a further four small wraps and a set of scales.
Ms Gillespie said 4.9g of heroin was recovered with a maximum potential street value of £490.
Sheriff Drummond said: “You were sentenced in September for being concerned in supply. With regard to your record, and the fact that it’s a class A drug, it’s not appropriate to fine you.”
She sentenced Graczyk to 45 days in prison, consecutive to the sentence he is currently serving.
