Motorists warned of delays during Balfarg junction work

Work starts on Thursday on the final phase of safety improvements to the Balfarg junction of the A92 near Glenrothes.
The final three-week phase of the £60,000 scheme will bring path, signs and safety fencing improvements.
Work will be carried out between 7.30pm and 6.30am in a bid to minimise delays.
The work will mean some restrictions on traffic to and from the B969 Western Avenue and Star junctions.
The A92 southbound carriageway will close on Thursday night, with diversions put in place.
Thee works are being undertaken by BEAR Scotland on behalf of Transport Scotland.
Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s north-east unit representative, said: “We do not anticipate that these improvement works will cause significant levels of noise or disruption to local residents and the travelling public.
“However, we would ask for their patience during this time and urge people to leave extra time for travel.”
