A woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in Kinross-shire has been named.
Brenda Donaldson, from Crook of Devon, was driving a dark grey Citroen Xsara when it collided with a pick-up truck on the A977 on Friday morning.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 7.11am and a crew from Alloa was dispatched in an attempt to free the 55-year-old, who was reported as trapped in the vehicle.
A medical student who had been parked in a layby at the scene also attempted to help Ms Donaldson.
Her family said she would be “greatly missed” but declined to make any further comment.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are ongoing and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact us on 101.
“As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
