East Fife manager Gary Naysmith is keen to learn what Dunfermline manager Jim Jefferies’ plans are for defender Jonathan Page.
The former Motherwell man has been on a 93-day loan at Bayview men since September and is due to go back to East End Park after the Fifers’ game with Montrose on December 6.
Page has played 12 times for Naysmith’s side, and whilst this initial loan period cannot be extended due to league rules, Naysmith would be keen to bring Page back in the January transfer window.
Naysmith said: “I will need to find out if Jonathan is going to be part of Dunfermline’s plans for the rest of the season. If he is, good luck to him, however if he is not I would like to think we could get him back here.
“He has already played for Dunfermline and us this season so he cannot play for anyone else. If Dunfermline want to send him out on loan again I would welcome the opportunity. He has done well here and is enjoying playing regular football.”
