A 36-year-old man suffered facial injuries in the attack, which happened in Pilmuir Street at around 11.30pm on Thursday October 30. Officers believe the man in these images can help with their ongoing enquiry. Anyone who can help in identifying him is asked to come forward. He is described as white and in his mid-20s with a muscular build, short dark hair that is closely shaved in at the sides and heavy facial hair. He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt, dark jeans and had tattoos on his arms. Sergeant Neil McGurk said: “Since this incident occurred we have been pursuing various lines of local enquiry to trace the suspect. “The man in this CCTV footage is of interest to our investigation and anyone who believes they may know who he is should contact police immediately.” Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
