Courier bake sale raises £335 for Archie Foundation
ByThe Courier Reporter
As Courier readers will know, we’re proud to be supporting the Archie Foundation’s bid to raise £2 million for a twin operating theatre suite at Tayside Children’s Hospital.
To help them on their way, the Courier team recently held a festive bake sale, which raised £335.40.
Several members of staff and their relatives slaved over hot ovens in the run-up to the sale.
Emma White, Archie’s fundraising manager, said: “I have recently joined the Archie Foundation as the head of fundraising for Tayside and Fife, and it is already clear how important this appeal at Ninewells is to our community and local businesses.
“Every pound raised for the Tayside appeal will remain in our area and help build a world-class twin theatre suite in Tayside Children’s Hospital.
“Thank you to DC Thomson and The Courier for supporting this appeal, taking part in Beards for Bairns, and donating the money raised at your bake sale to the Archie Foundation Tayside.”
