Tomorrow’s clash with Dundee is the first of three in a row against bottom six sides for Ross County.
And manager Jim McIntyre has targeted the spell as opportunity for the Premiership’s basement club to turn around their season.
He said: “The next two months will be crucial.
“We’re now coming into games against Dundee, Partick Thistle, St Mirren and, at the tail end of that, Celtic and Caley Thistle again.
“We then go into the next month when we have three bottom-half teams again Kilmarnock, Partick and Dundee.
“They’re the types of games both clubs will be looking at to pick up valuable points.
“It’s all about consistency we need to get a run to move up the table. That is missing and it’s why we’re bottom of the league.
“We’re more than capable on our day, but our good days have to be more frequent.
“If we have consistency, players play with their chests puffed out and can perform off the cuff at times.”
McIntyre has wasted no time in starting the January recruitment drive by signing English forward Craig Curran until the end of the season.
Curran had been on trial at Victoria Park towards the end of last month, after leaving Conference Premier side Nuneaton Town.
The 25-year-old previously played for Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Rochdale, as well as having a spell in Ireland with Limerick.
McIntyre said: “He works his socks off. But like any signing who has left a club he is short on fitness but he’ll get there within two or three weeks.
“He is somebody who hassles, harries and constantly makes defenders uneasy. He’s physical and good in the air for not being the tallest.
“He’s strong, offers good link-up play and likes to work in behind defenders.”
