TripAdvisor shows Perth and Kinross is a hit with holiday makers

Holiday rental accommodation in Perth and Kinross is among the best in Britain, according to users of TripAdvisor.

The region has scored silver in the online travel guide’s annual list of the UK’s best-rated holiday lets. Users of the popular website are asked to review their stays and score the accommodation out of five.

In a study comparing average review scores, Perth and Kinross gets an impressive 4.88. The region is second only to Moray, which achieves a traveller rating of 4.89.

They triumph over other UK counties, including fourth-placed Carmarthenshire in Wales and Wiltshire in England. Scotland gets six places on the top-10 list with Dumfries and Galloway and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park each scoring an average rating of 4.85.

TripAdvisor spokesman James Kay said: “With consistently highly-rated holiday rentals now spread from Moray and Perth and Kinross in Scotland all the way down south to Wiltshire in England, our research shows UK holiday-goers are spoilt for choice when it comes to planning their next self-catering staycation in the UK.”
