Ryan Ferrie, of Glenclova Place, Montrose, appeared on petition which alleges that he stole several items, including football memorabilia last month. The incident allegedly took place on December 1, in Dundee’s Duncraig Road, with Ferrie acting with another person whose identity is unknown. The 20-year-old faces a charge of assaulting a man and forcing entry to his property, repeatedly striking him on the head and body. It is also alleged he held the man in a headlock and demanded he tell him where he kept his money. Ferrie is charged with causing injury to the man and robbing him of a quantity of tobacco, and some football memorabilia. He made no plea or declaration when he appeared from custody during the hearing before Sheriff Elizabeth Munro. The case against him was continued for further examination and Ferrie was remanded in custody.
