The Tangerines were willing to pay £25,000 for Imrie but Accies wanted more for their player. United had made it clear that it was a ‘take it or leave it’ offer and they have stayed true to their word, not budging from that position. Imrie may now end up at St Mirren who, as Courier Sport revealed last week, are keen to land his signature. ”We offered what was our valuation of the player but we now move on,” said Tannadice chairman Stephen Thompson.
