A pair of rare vases depicting scenes from old Dundee and Broughty Ferry are to be auctioned next week.
The moon flasks, which take their name from their rounded shape, are 14 inches high and were made around 1900 by the Doulton company in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.
One shows a view of Dundee city centre, with the Steeple Church prominent, and the other focuses on Broughty Castle.
They are being sold on Tuesday by city auctioneers Curr & Dewar and their estimated price is £1,500-£2,000.
Spokesman Steven Dewar said: ”They have been entered into our sale from a local executry. Their origin is unknown but they are impressive enough to either have been made for an exhibition or for a wealthy Dundonian.”
