UPDATE: Teenager Sumer Skinner found safe and well

Police say a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing from Arbroath has been traced safe and well.

Sumer Skinner had last been seen at 6.30pm on Monday near Ogilvy Place in the town.

Police and her family had issued appeals as they sought news of her whereabouts.

Happily, police confirmed this afternoon that she had been found.

Her family had issued a desperate appeal for news, with Sabrina Skinner posting: “Please if anyone has seen Sumer Skinner please let me know. You don’t even have to tell me where she is just some reassurance that she’s okay.”

Police say Sumer was traced in Arbroath, and they thanked everyone who had helped in the effort to find her.
