Police investigate death of man in Arbroath homeless unit

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in a homeless unit in Arbroath.

The man, who has not been named but is believed to have been in his late 20s, was discovered in a flat in Guthrie Hill.

It is understood detectives were called to the unit late on Saturday night and neighbours said forensic remained there into the early hours. They returned on Sunday morning to carry out further investigations.

It has been suggested the man had been living at the unit for the past few weeks.

Tayside Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
