Police said the 33-year-old man was charged in connection with a disturbance in Montrose Street in the early hours of Monday. Two other men, aged 31 and 40, had previously been charged with breach of the peace in relation to the incident, which happened at about 12.30am. The casualty remains in a serious condition at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. A report on the matter is being submitted to the procurator fiscal.
