A woman’s body was discovered in her home on the outskirts of Perth after concerned neighbours raised the alarm, police have confirmed.
Officers made a forced entry into the house in Tarry Row, Ruthvenfield, after residents alerted them.
Anne Buchanan (59), a Scottish Hydro employee, lived alone at the house, which has now been boarded up.
A spokesman for Tayside Police said: ”The body of a 59-year-old woman was discovered at an address in Tarry Row, Ruthvenfield, Perth, on January 17.
”There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
A spokeswoman for Scottish Hydro said: ”We are very sorry to lose our valued colleague and friend Anne, and our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
